Osage Family
12" X 18"
Ink drawn with a hairclip
My hikes on the Delaware Canal are always inspirational filling my brain/eyes with exquisite imagery. I found the old Osage trees intriguing. The gnarls, burls, and imperfections often create stories for me. I see figures, or groupings of figures and faces, some showing energy and emotion, similar to high relief sculptures..
While examining the grand old Osage represented in my drawing, I saw a family embedded in the tree. I thought to myself, " They belong to this magical old tree forever...they're together, they belong, they're family".
